 Your Stay at the Clinic

Three Categories of Stay are available at Dr. Rizk Clinic: the Adult's Stay, the Maternity's Stay and the Stay in the Paediatrics' Unit.
This section gives you the main information to assure you a great stay in the Hospital.
The specifications proper for each category of stay are precised if necessary.

Several Teams at your Service
Three main teams are at your disposal in order to bring you all the necessary care and services for a good treatment and recovery.

- The Medical Team
Our medical team is known for the quality of its care.
The majority of our physicians are educated or did their specialty in Europe or in the United States
.
This team is made up of: your attending physician, but also of specialists in all the fields of medicine and surgery, reanimation, anaesthesiology, biology, radiology, radiotherapy .


- The Hostelry Team
It comprises several Units: Kitchen, Dietetics, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Cafeteria that provide the patients with the best attention in order to offer them the most comfortable stay.
Several Other Individuals, that you will probably not meet, also work hard providing quality to the stay of our Patients: Administrative Staff, Technical Staff and Others.
Do not hesitate to request any assistance from the Clinic Personnel at all levels during your stay.
You will learn to become acquainted with our teams' members thanks to their identification's badges (where names and occupations are mentioned).

- The Nursing Team
The members of the Nursing Staff are recruited among the best higher education programs and dispose of a regular continuous training within the hospital.
This team comprises:
- A Floor Supervisor (Male or Female): It is the person in charge of the Nursing Staff on the floor.
- Primary Nurses (Male or Female): They execute medical prescriptions; provide you with qualified daily care and availability at every moment.
- Nurses' Aid: They accompany the nurses and the physicians during the provision of care. This team of professionals is essentially concerned by the wellbeing of our patients (meals, toilet.).

The Rooms and Equipments at your disposal

The Hospital proposes 3 main types of rooms:
Apartments: Single room with private living room
Private rooms: Single Bedroom, with its own private
                             bathroom
Semi private rooms: Double Bedroom, with its own
                                       private bathroom
The rooms are all equipped with the daily elements of comfort needed for the wellbeing of the patients and of their visitors. They comprise: an integrated system of acclimatization (cold end warm), a telephone, and a TV set with a selection of programs for all tastes.
A call system for the nursing personnel is placed near the patient's bed.
Telephones
There is a telephone in each patient's room in the Hospital.
In order to call outside the Clinic, dial 90.
Communications are at your charge and will be billed to you upon your discharge.

USE OF MOBILE TELEPHONES IS PROHIBITED WITHIN THE HOSPITAL PREMISES!

Meals
Our Dietitians as well as the Kitchen staff work in joint collaboration with the treating Physician in order to provide balanced meals that correspond to the health condition and to the treatment of each patient.
We serve 3 meals during the Day.
A supplement is served with Dinner to all patients admitted to Paediatrics' and Delivery Units.
 
 
The Accompanying Adults
It is possible that a relative may wish to stay during the night with you -> See the Nursing Staff for requesting a bed and meal for the Accompanying Adult.

* For the Hospitalized Adults, Accompanying Adults are authorized only in private rooms (rooms with one bed).
The amount of this allowance, shall be billed as an extra cost at the discharge.
* For all the Hospitalized Children, a single feminine accompanying Adult is authorized in all types of rooms and free of charge.
  
Accompanying Adults as well as visitors have the possibility of catering at the
Hospital Cafeteria (Building B, Ground Floor), which proposes a large choice of foods and beverages.

Religious Service
Respect to Religious Freedom is a fundamental rule that our hospital institution is keen to respect.
Each of our patients has the possibility to call for a representative of the cult of his choice, thus during visiting hours.
There are within Dr. Rizk Clinic representatives from the Chouerites Sisters Community, being also part of the Nursing Staff. During your stay, the chaplains and their collaborators are at your disposal and propose to you their presence and company.


   HOURS FOR SERVING MEALS
    Breakfast: 7:00a.m. to 8:00a.m.
  
 Lunch:12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m.
   
Dinner: 5:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.

Visitors (Adults and Children)
The Visitors
For the comfort of our patients, Visits are authorized at certain hours only.
The Personnel of both Receptions « A » and « B » are at your disposal in order to guide you during your visits.


   DAILY VISITING HOURS
   - Buildingt A:Adults from 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.
                            Children from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
   - Building B: Adults from 10:00a.m. to 1:00a.m.,
                          then from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
                          Children from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
   - Intensive Care Unit (Building B, 4th floor):
                           
from 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m.,
                           from 5:30p.m. to 6:00p.m.

IT IS PROHIBITED TO SMOKE WITHIN THE CLINIC PREMISES! 
 

For the comfort of all our patients, visitors are requested to:
* Comply with the authorized visiting hours in the Units
* Avoid to come too numerously (a maximum of 2 or 3 persons per patient at the same time)
* Avoid noisy conversations
* Preserve the cleanliness of the hospital premises as well as the environment
* Avoid being accompanied by children, because of the risks of contamination within the hospital premises
* In certain Units, because of the risk of infection, specific rules and regulations may be imposed by our Nursing staff (washing hands, wearing a mask.)

Other Useful Services
Cafeteria
Open every day from 7:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., it is located on the Ground Floor of Building B, facing the Central Garden of the Hospital. It offers a large choice of foods and beverages (daily menu, salads, pizzas, snacks, sweets .) along with hot and cold drinks.
Ideal for the catering and the relaxation of your visitors and Accompanying Adults.

Banking Automatic Teller
An ATM machine is at your disposal. It is located at the Ground Floor of Building B, near Reception B.

Parking and Car Wash Station
A 5 levels Underground Parking (350 places) is at your disposal for you and your Visitors.
It also comprises a Car Wash Station.


 Practical Advice and Recommendation
- Call a Nurse if you need help, thanks to the Call Button near your bed.
- Do not take other medications than those prescribed by your physician during your stay.
- Do not leave your personal valuables without surveillance.
- Avoid the use of electrical devices and turn off mobile telephones that may disturb the functioning
   of some electronic medical devices.
- Do not smoke in your room and within the hospital premises.
- Do not introduce alcoholic drinks, this is strictly prohibited!
- For reasons of hygiene, animals are not admitted in the hospital.
