This Guide is aimed at providing you with Information and Practical Advices, which
shall facilitate your formalities and your stay within the Clinic.

For a Planned Stay
Following the advice of your Physician, you need to be hospitalized; these are the main administrative steps to follow:
You should present yourself to the « Central Admission Unit » of the Clinic.
For a Surgical Intervention: 48 hours before your hospitalization.
For a Medical Case: It is preferable to come before the day of your admission.
    Central Admission Unit

    - Location: Building A, Ground Floor,
                         facing the main lobby
    
- Opening Hours: Monday to Friday from 6:30a.m. to 7:00p.m.
                                     Saturdays from 6:30a.m. to 2:00p.m.
                                     Sundays from 2:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
    
- Phone number: From outside the hospital,
                                    dial +961-1-200800,
                                    then follow the instructions.
                                    Inside the hospital,
                                    dial the extensions 1055, 1057 or 1058


Attention please! You should submit several documents in order to validate your Admission:
-
The Reservation Coupon given by your Attending Physician
- An Identification Document (ID, driver’s license…)

- Your various Insurance Cards and/or certifying documents for the eventual coverage of your case issued by a Third Party Payer (Ministry of Health, Social Security …)

- A copy of the results of all medical tests that you have carried out recently as well as the medical prescription established by your attending physician explaining the type of exams to be carried out at the time of your admission

For an Emergency Entry
Our medical team decides to admit you after your entry at our Emergency Care Unit
The Formalities to be carried out are the same as for a Normal Admission.
(mentioned above)
Just notice that,
a deadline of 24 hours will be granted so that all the necessary documents will be provided by one of your relative or a friend, and delivered at the Central Admission Unit.

Practical Advices
- Your Medical Tests
Your Physician will probably ask you to carry out certain Tests before you are admitted. The Hospital disposes of a very large and well equipped Technico-Medical Department. In order to reduce your waiting time for carrying out your tests: before your admission, come into Building C (1st Floor), from Monday to Saturday from 7:30a.m. to 10:00a.m.

- Deposit of Personal Objects
You are strongly advised not to keep with you personal valuables during your stay in the hospital (jewellery, cash …)
« The hospital declines all responsibility in case of theft or loss of your valuables »
Nevertheless, in case you forget such measure at the time of your admission or if you were admitted through the Emergency Care Unit, you can make a deposit of your Personal Valuables in a Safe Deposit Box at the Central Cashier of the Hospital, any day during opening hours.
A “Consignment Coupon” will be remitted to you in order to be kept and presented upon retrieval of your objects.

- Deposit of Money
Attention, you may be asked to make a Deposit of Money at the Central Cashier before your hospitalization. The amount to be deposited at the time of your admission depends on the case you are going to be admitted for and of your type of coverage (Insurance …)

Personal Clothes and Necessary Toilet
Items
Do not forget for a comfortable stay to bring:
- The Personal Clothes that shall be washed by your relatives: Pyjamas,
  Dressing Gown …
- And your Necessary Toilet Items: Shampoo, Tooth Brush, Razors, Toilet
  Objects …

    For a Maternity Stay, Prepare also:
    - For the Mother:
    * A packet of large size special maternity Hygienic Towels
   
* 2 bras for breast feeding
   
* A packet of Breast Feeding Cushions to protect the nipples
    
* Pyjamas, of preference night gowns, without pants in order to facilitate care
       in case of episiotomy and with buttons in order to facilitate breast feeding
   
* Three Bathing Towels
   
* Square Towels for intimate toilet

  
    - For the Baby:

    * 4 Pyjamas (frog type)
 
   * 4 Bodies (short or long sleeves according to the season)
    
* 3 medium size toilet towels
    
* 3 toilet gloves
    
* 1 bag of diapers for new born
     
In case of Caesarean, add one additional piece to each item


And do not forget for the Discharge: A Blanket and a Car Seat 1st age!
