Hospitality Supervisor

8.5 hours Monday to Friday, 5 hours Saturday

• Education/Diploma/Certification: Minimum BA/BS in Nutrition, Food Sciences or Hospitality Management, Masters is a plus.
• Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field.

• Thorough knowledge of HACCP, ISO and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Supervise and schedule kitchen and cafeteria staff.
• Ensure customer (patient) satisfaction.
• Resolve customer (patient) complaints, as well as internal conflict amongst staff.
• Order and maintain supply and inventory of raw material, and control costs.
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of staff.
• Plan and organize the setup of all events and receptions, ensuring their proper management and providing all necessary logistics.
• Ensure that all event attendees are satisfied, dealing with special requests, issues and complaints as they arise.
• Ensure that attendees are served in the correct manner, particularly for formal lunches and dinners as directed.
• Be customer-focused at all times and conduct the service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Advise the Chief Cook of any recommendations to style of service, menus, etc. to enhance the overall catering services..
• Oversee the monthly stock take to ensure proper inventory control.
• Performs other duties pertinent to this job as requested.
