Work Schedule: 
15 nights - 12 hours / night

Current Registered Nurse licensure, Bachelor’s Degree is required and a master is preferred.
Work Experience:
Must be a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of clinical experience, having 3-5 years of leadership and/or management responsibilities.

Required Skills: 

• Maintains Lebanese Order of Nurses registration.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal & written English skills. French is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Serves as a role model for nursing staff and demonstrates leadership ability and management skills through fair decision making.
• Functions as a knowledgeable and supportive member to maintain high quality patient care.
• Prepares reports and documents as required.
• Conducts audits as needed.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Ensures compliance with Accreditation Standards.
• Ensures adequate resources including staff and equipment.
• Ensures that all staff is using properly equipment.
• Reports of unusual incidents and complaints to superior.
• Identifies problem areas in nursing department, such as understaffing and absenteeism, and takes corrective action.
• Responds to various departments requesting emergency assistance and assigns staff accordingly during emergencies.
• Assesses problem situations and after thorough investigation, plans and implements corrective action.
• Communicates and collaborates with the Admitting Officer for patient admission and discharge information.
• Communicates and collaborates with Administrator as appropriate for solution of any specific and/or unusual situations.
• Participates in conducting the annual appraisal of the staff.
• Ensures that all nursing duties are performed while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
• Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing activities / staff performance.
• Monitors the quality of care and initiates action and implementation of the corrective measures.
• Adheres to the hospital policies and procedures.
• Supports patients and personnel.
• Collaborates with other departments to enhance quality of patient care.
• Ensures prompt communication to arrange patient transfer /transport.
• Coordinates effective discharge planning when appropriate.
• Provides assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Is aware of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner, consistently reinforces good safety attitudes and practices displayed by other staff members.
• Provides intershift reports, including condition of critically ill patients, patient admission and discharge information, personnel absences, and unusual occurrences, etc.
