Non-Invasive Cardiology & Pulmonary Tests
Work Schedule: 
Shift rotation basis (42 hours per week). Overtime as required.

 Current Registered Nurse licensure, Bachelor’s Degree is required.
 One year of critical care experience is preferred.

Required Skills: 

 Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
 Excellent verbal & written English skills. French is a plus.
 Maintaining Lebanese Order of Nurses registration.
 Good communication skills.
 Compassionate personality.
 Team worker.
 Ability to adapt in stressful situations.
 Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.

Responsibilities and Duties: 


 Receives and orients patient to room environment.
 Develops plan of care for each patient using Nursing Process:
o Assessment of the patient’s needs
o Diagnosis of human response needs that nurses can deal with
o Planning of patient’s care
o Implementation of care
o Evaluation of the success of the implemented care
 Transcribes and implements Physicians' orders.
 Prepares and administers prescribed treatments and medications.
 Monitors effects of medications; records medications given and patients' reactions.
 Completes all documentation for assessments, observations, planning, progress notes, and care provided to patients.
 Monitors patient progress and identifies any changes in status, act on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
 Assists physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient.
 Gives a complete and comprehensive report on patient status at end of shift/assignment.
 Participates in patient and family education about their Rights and Responsibilities.
 Participates in patient / family education on the care and management of condition.
 Ensures prompt communication to arrange patient transfer /transport.
 Coordinates effective discharge planning.
 Provides assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
 Performs all nursing duties while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
 Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
 Performs routine nursing care to assigned patients, while utilizing universal precaution practices at all times.
 Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
 Is aware of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
 Handles and is knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
 Schedules work assignments and determines work priorities.

Specific duties for Non-Invasive Cardiology & Pulmonary Tests:

 Assesses monitors and provides optimum care to patients of all ages and acuity levels who are admitted in the unit.
 Administers moderate sedation under the direct supervision of a physician.
 Prepares procedure room.
 Recognizes and effectively assists in treating life-threatening conditions.
 Educates patient about pre, intra and post procedure care.
