  • Current Registered Nurse licensure, Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Required Skills: 
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal & written English skills. French is a plus.
  • Maintaining Lebanese Order of Nurses registration.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties: 


  • Respect the hospital mission, vision, and values.
  •  Participate in unit meetings and in other hospital committees as assigned.
  •   Participate in Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Report of unusual incidents and complaint to superior.
  • Participate in preparing inventories.


  • Help transfer patient to operating room table.
  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation.
  • Prepare Anesthesia equipment and supplies appropriately for procedures.
  • Calibrate and test anesthesia equipment.
  • Prepare prescribed solutions.
  • Select, apply and / or insert appropriate non-invasive monitoring devices for continuous evaluation of the patient’s physical status.
  • Assist the anesthesiologist in the induction, the intubation and the extubation.
  • Continuously, monitor airway, oxygenation, pulmonary & cardiovascular status, temperature, neuromuscular function, positioning and status.
  • Assist the anesthesiologist upon transfer of the patient from intraoperative to post-operative care provider.
  • Assist in cleaning of room and preparing for next patient.
  •  Participate in patient / family education on the care and management of condition when necessary.
  •  Participate in patient / family education on the care and management of condition when necessary.
  •  Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  •   Perform all nursing duties while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine nursing care to assigned patients, while utilizing universal precaution practices at all times.
  • Aware of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Handle all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
  •  Participate in the evaluation of new products.

Pain Management

  • Perform daily patient rounds, evaluate pain management therapies and identify actual side effects related to therapy.
  • Act as a role model by performing thorough pain assessments, documenting pain assessments, interventions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia in making clinical recommendations to optimize the provision of pain care.
  • Deliver educational pain information and teach to patients and families as required.
  • Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and procedures related to the assessment, management and education of patients experiencing pain.
  • Participate in committee and task force work within the institution as they relate to pain management issues.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new pain related products, equipment and techniques.


  •  Support and mentor junior colleagues, nursing students
  •  Participate in the internal education program of the department.

Continuous Professional Development

  •  Attend in-service training required by the hospital.
  • Maintain CPR according to the Resuscitative Training policy.
