<p>Shift rotation basis (12 hours) (42 hours per week)<strong>.</strong></p>
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Previous clinical experience is preferred.
Required Skills: 
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal & written English skills. French is a plus.
  • Maintaining Lebanese Order of Nurses registration.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Responsibilities and Duties: 


  • Respect the hospital mission, vision, and values.
  • Participate in unit meetings and in other hospital committees as assigned.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Report of unusual incidents and complaints to superior.
  • Participate in preparing inventories.


  • Receive and orient patient to room environment.
  • Develop plan of care for each patient using Nursing Process:
  • Assessment of the patient’s needs
  • Diagnosis of human response needs that nurses can deal with
  • Planning of patient’s care
  • Implementation of care
  • Evaluation of the success of the implemented care
  • Transcribe and implement Physicians' orders.
  • Prepare and administer prescribed treatments and medications.
  • Monitor effects of medications; record medications given and patients' reactions.
  • Complete all documentation for assessments, observations, planning, progress notes, and care provided to clients.
  • Monitor patient progress and identify any changes in status, act on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary rounds, and keep informed of special orders concerning patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient..
  • Give a complete and comprehensive report on patient status at end of shift/assignment.
  • Participate in patient and family education about their Rights and responsibilities.
  • Participate in patient / family education on the care and management of condition.
  • Ensure prompt communication to arrange patient transfer /transport.
  • Coordinate effective discharge planning.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Perform all nursing duties while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine nursing care to assigned patients, while utilizing universal precaution practices at all times.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Is aware of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Handle and is knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
  • Schedule work assignments, determine work priorities, and oversee the work of Practical Nurses and Patient Care Agent.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new products.

Specific duties for Emergency Room 

  • Perform triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
  • Provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention.
  • Recognize sand effectively assist in treating life-threatening conditions.
  • Assist in life saving procedures such as intubation, central line placement, temporary pace maker, chest tube placement, etc.
  • Report any suspected abuse to the appropriate agencies.
  • Initiate cardiac monitoring, Oxygen therapy, non- invasive blood pressure, and oximetry.
  • Recognize and record cardiac arrhythmia.


  • Support and mentor junior colleagues, nursing students or in charge duties
  • Participate in the internal education program of the department.

Continuous Professional Development

  • Attend in-service training required by the hospital.
  • Maintain CPR according to the Resuscitative Training policy.
